It might not be an obvious shoe trend (but what is?!) but women’s loafers have certainly hit the catwalks with a bang with plenty of the hottest designers showcasing this formal men’s shoe in their autumn / winter shoe collections.

Taking on a classic shoe shape, women’s loafers have been transformed into a fashionable designer shoe style after stepping away from the previous lady-like and old fashioned look to create a cool and hip old English heritage look that’s everywhere right now.

It’s so easy to pull off women’s loafers, wear them dressed down with jeans for a casual yet stylish look, while a tailored look is perfect with the loafers trend when worn with tapered trousers.

We’re always adding fabulous new products to the Viva La Diva website and The Diva was absolutely thrilled when she saw the latest collection for autumn / winter 2010 from the utterly amazing Ravel.

Ok so it might be pretty much autumn now, those grey skies, downpours and blustery days seem to have already hit us, but that doesn’t mean you have to make your clothing as dull as the weather! The Diva decided to bring a bit of life to autumn this year and she’s loving the latest Coloured In collection from Viva La Diva.

With fabulous shoes in eye popping zingy shades from citrus fresh yellows, oranges and greens to vibrant pinks, purples and blues, this is one designer shoe collection you won’t want to miss. Wear these brightly coloured shoes to brighten up a dull day or otherwise plain outfit and bring a bit of summer back to your life!

Viva La Diva is everywhere at the moment and we were thrilled that Made For Mums showcased our shoes and boots in their maternity Autumn / Winter trends feature. It just goes to show that stylish can be comfortable! And these shoes and boots are ideal for pregnant women.

The first trend alert was animal prints and they combined it with the Legroom High Boot in an extra wide calf and E fit. This width and size is perfect for swollen ankles that many pregnant women experience.

Next up was the colour clash trend and Made For Mums loved the Viva La Diva T Bar Shoe in coral and E fit. A gorgeous burst of colour to any outfit, a comfortable heel height and the wide fitting is great for swollen ankles again. In the sale for just £12.50!

And finally, the luxurious lace trend was worn with the stylish Legroom Extra Large Calf Boots E Fit in grey! The most versatile style of boot with a convenient heel height, colour and plain design.

This latest edition of “What we’re wearing” takes a look at what the fabulous girls in the Viva La Diva office are all wearing. This time it’s the absolutely amazing Iron Fist Zebracorn Platform Shoes!

These unusual high heels from Iron Fist are most certainly show stoppers with their killer heel and multi coloured design! We love the platform sole and cute peep toe too.

At Viva La Diva we’re always adding fabulous new designers to our range of shoes and one of the most recent is Marta Jonsson. With their stylish and elegant designs, Marta Jonsson shoes have been so popular and it’s no wonder why.

Shoe designer Marta Jonsson’s love of shoes developed when she worked on the shop floor of a footwear boutique. Her understanding of what her customers want along with her passion for shoes has made her an international success. Her philosophy has always been to design stylish yet comfortable shoes for all occasions.

Here we have a fabulous interview with Marta Jonsson, all about her amazing shoe collection and her inspiration. Enjoy!

How many shoe and accessory collections do you design?
I create two collections each year and introduce new styles to the brand every six weeks. This allows me to stay on top of all the emerging trends and means my customers are always spoilt for choice. My main focus is creating beautiful shoes for women each season, but I love designing bags and clutches to coordinate.

What has been your inspiration behind the A/W 2010 collections?
This season’s collection takes inspiration from the catwalk and one of my cherished cities in the world, Miami. One of my favourite designs is the lace up, ski hook boots, which are reminiscent of the Victoriana styles that dominated at the Marc Jacobs show. Miami has always inspired me as it oozes glamour and the multitude of creativity there always captivates me. I used sumptuous suedes in deep jewel colours to add intensity, while taupes and tans are a natural progression from summer’s nude shades. The focus as always is on key wearable styles that are not over the top but still provide something different and a sense of value through quality design.

Following the mantra: ‘look after your feet, and they’ll look after you’, how you do ensure that a pair of Marta Jonsson shoes are not only stylish but also comfortable?
I have specially developed ‘Soft in-Step by Marta’, a unique cushioning support fitted to the insole of every shoe that I design. My objective; women around the world can comfortably wear gorgeous heels all day and every day. Style and elegance should never be compromised by discomfort. All our shoes and accessories are crafted with love in Portugal, and made from the finest leathers and materials. I have always considered comfort and high quality just as important as style.

Are there any celebrities who wear your shoes?
Over the years I have attracted a number of celebrity fans including Kelly Brook, the Crown Princess of Norway, Katie Price and Mischa Barton who was most recently spotted wearing our wedge lace up ankle boot – a key look for this season.

Women cannot resist a pair of shoes. How many pairs do you have at home?
 I have actually lost count of how many shoes I have now but I would imagine it’s in the region of one hundred. I could never choose a favourite though as I cherish every single one of them, they are like my babies!

One of the latest designer names to come on board is Marta Jonsson.

Marta Jonsson shoes are simply devine, with their classic designs and understated elegance, they are utterly timeless designer shoes. The new collection of Marta Jonsson has something for everyone from classic court shoes and stylish slingbacks to flat sandals and autumn boots. The beauty of Marta Jonsson shoes is that many of the styles also come in different colours.

The Diva enjoyed a fabulous night out on Friday with all the girlies from Viva La Diva at a fun work party and that’s where this latest edition of “what we’re wearing” comes from!

One of the divas was wearing some rather funky United Nude shoes with a cute wedge heel and quirky design, so The Diva just had to get a picture!

Unfortunately we don’t have the fully black versions of these United Nude Jane Shoes in at the moment, but we have the equally fabulous black and white, and black and blue styles.
