If you’re off to a bonfire then it’ll most likely be in a field and don’t expect the weather to be great either, so the best footwear choice is probably a pair of wellies. With a pair of wellies, you won’t need to worry about your feet getting wet, but wear a pair of thick socks for extra comfort and warmth.

Winter boots

If you’re not overly keen on wellies then a pair of winter boots like sheepskin boots maybe the ideal choice of footwear. Sheepskin boots are so warm and cosy and will keep your feet so toasty. Of course, the price of UGGs is sometimes what puts people off, but as with anything, you’re paying for the quality and a pair of authentic UGG boots will last a long time.

However, you maybe aware that there are numerous companies selling fake UGG boots and claiming them to be genuine. These poor imitations are of a low quality and don’t even compare to the real thing. There’s nothing worse than buying a pair of UGGs that you think are a bargain only to discover that they are in fact fake.

Although it can sometimes be difficult to spot a pair of fake UGG boots, here’s a useful UGG boots buying guide to help you.

The only way to find a stockist of authentic UGGs is to visit their official website www.uggaustralia.com and look at their official stockist list. On the Authorised Online Retail Store list you will see Schuh, this is who supplies Viva La Diva with their real UGG boots. Don’t buy from any other website not on this list, it’s most likely that they are fake UGGs and not authorised by UGG Australia.

Price

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is! Authentic UGG boots retail from approximately £100 to £250 depending on the style of the boot. Any retailers selling them at lower prices are typically going to be fake, of course, unless you buy a pair in an end of season sale and then they’re likely to be at a lower price.

Real sheepskin

Authentic UGG boots only use real sheepskin fur to line the inside of the boots and if there is any outer detail. Real sheepskin is white or off-white in colour and very thick, while fake UGGs will use a synthetic material that is more grey or cream and is much thinner and likely to shed easily.

Other brands

You may not realise it but UGG is in fact a term for a style of boot that uses a suede upper and real sheepskin fur lining and UGGs Australia is the most popular brand of this style of boot. Other authentic sheepskin boots or UGG style boots include Love From Australia boots, Gumbies boots and Redfoot Zippy boots.
