The Diva adores this latest shoe trend that is just perfect for spring, shooties are basically shoes and boots combined that create a shorter version of an ankle boot. They look utterly gorgeous with skinny jeans and leggings, and if you’re lucky enough to have long pins you can wear shoe boots with skirts and dresses too!

Welcome to our latest feature – what we’re wearing! Here The Diva will showcase all the fashionable shoes that other divas are wearing and find you like-for-like styles in the Viva la Diva shop, so you can look just as fabulous.

The Diva recently showed off some of her favourite platform and wedge trainers, and she was thrilled to see one of her diva friends wearing a pair as well…wedge trainers are most certainly making a come back!

Loving these white wedge trainers? The Diva has found an almost identical pair on the Viva la Diva website – the No Name Sarah Sneaker Wedged Pump, and they’re also available in grey, black and patent black. These wedge trainers are great for this season’s sporty trend…wear with girly floral dresses and 80s inspired fashion for a funky look.

After 30 years in the family home The Diva’s mum and dad have finally decided to up roots and move to somewhere a little more manageable now that she’s flown the nest and they’re rattling around in a house far too big for two people.

As you can imagine, moving from a four bedroom detached house to a two bedroom bungalow meant there was some thinning out to be done, but that was nothing compared to the task that faced her mum when she tried fitting the collection of shoes she had amassed throughout the years into a much smaller wardrobe space. Something had to be done.

So, The Diva decided to go through each pair individually, ditching any that were looking shabby, had broken heels or that were never going to come back into fashion…that didn’t work and so she was left with a conundrum as to where this assortment of shoes and boots was going to live.

That’s when The Diva remembered seeing some really useful clear shoe storage boxes on the Viva la Diva website that would let her mum keep all the shoes she wanted without taking up wardrobe space. And at just £10 for a pack of three shoe boxes, they’re great value for money! With shoe storage boxes in different sizes for boots, high heels and flat shoes, she simply slipped them under the bed. And while they were at it The Diva also spruced up some forgotten shoes with shoe care kits and brought boots back to life with boot shapers.

Platform trainers and pumps are a bit like marmite – you either love them or hate them - but The Diva is most certainly in love with them, so much so that she’s boasting about all the wedge and high heel pumps on the Viva la Diva website. They might remind you of the Spice Girls-esque fashions of the 90s but it seems wedge trainers are making a come back.

Combining the comfort of a trainer or pump with the glamour of a wedge or platform, high heel trainers and pumps have the best of both worlds! Imagine looking uttterly fabulous without the pinch of heels and you’ve got high heel trainers. They’re fun and fashionable, and means The Diva doesn’t need to make the decision between trainers and high heels, and that’s why she adores them.
